Greengrid Taskforce

The Thames Gateway Greengrid Taskforce is a voluntary conservation group that takes part in environmental projects across South Essex.

The taskforce works on a range of projects, from scrub clearing and access work, to gardening and litter picking. Task days take place on a regular basis in Thurrock, Basildon, Castle Point, Southend and Rochford.

Our very first practical task day took place on 24th August 2007 at Grays Park in Thurrock. Since then, the taskforce has been developing sites across the South Essex region and providing a new environmental volunteering opportunity to the local community.

The Greengrid Taskforce is run by Groundwork South Essex, a charitable trust that aims to provide environmental solutions to local authorities, schools, communitites, businesses and a variety of other organisations big and small.
